My Thoughts on the Zimmerman Verdict

Over the last 18 hours I have seen mixed emotions on the verdict that was handed down last night. First and foremost, my prayers do genuinely go out to the parents of Trayvon Martin. Regardless of the sordid past this young man had, it is always heartbreaking to lose a child and to see someone lose a child, regardless of their age. Second, my prayers go out to the Zimmerman family, their lives are forever changed by this event as well. This entry will be neither short nor sweet. It is what it is and if you're offended by my idea of facts and truth, you may want to stop reading now.

I have followed this case since nearly day one. I also want to admit that in the early days, I was actually on the side of Martin. Without all the evidence, I read a sensational headline and went with my emotions : A 17 year old unarmed kid had been shot by a grown man. As a woman with two small boys, that hit home, hard. However, as the facts began to reveal themselves, and I researched more and more, I realized that there was WAY more to the story than first thought. Come to find out the picture of this "child" that was first shown was a five year old picture of a 12 year old smiling kid. Yep, I took the bait hook line and sinker right off the bat. This "child" was actually a 6'2" 170lb grown man himself. The only thing that even makes him a "child" was his age, and that honestly doesn't make him a child. It simply makes him a minor. Believe it or not there is in fact a difference. Without going through this entire ordeal step by step, because if you haven't been following the case itself, then this post doesn't apply to you anyway, I will skip to my opinion on the verdict.

I truly believe with the evidence presented, the verdict was fair. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that George Zimmerman provoked Martin. There is no evidence that suggests that Zimmerman continued to follow Martin. There is NO evidence that Zimmerman racially profiled Martin. Therefore, with there being no evidence of any of these things the state accused him of, the only option could have been a Not Guilty verdict. I am no law scholar don't claim to be nor do I want to be, however, with an objective mind anyone can clearly see that what I stated is factual. With that said...

I am BEYOND tired of people making this into a racial/political/adult vs child issue. You have no IDEA how tired I am of seeing people spin this situation into something that suits what they feel. I am disappointed and saddened that some of my fellow Americans are calling for the heads of those six women who bravely, in my opinion, followed the law and not the narrative. I am sick of being called a racist because I sided with facts and evidence, and not emotion. I am sick to death of seeing further divide between myself and my fellow Americans simply due to political affiliation or skin color. This did not have to go down the way it did, and frankly, I blame the race baiters, I blame the politically correct crowd, I even blame our president who had no business sticking his nose in a local issue.

My point in all of this is last night proved that our justice system does in fact still work. We may not agree with it, but it is still as fair as possible. Things not going our way does not constitute an injustice, it is what it is. Maybe we all can learn a thing or two from this, but unfortunately, I fear most of us won't. Also unfortunate, that while it should be, this is far from over.

Thank You to Those Who Voted for Obama

Obama refuses to take responsibility for anything he does, including ruining our economy to the point that unemployment is rampant. There is always something or someone else to blame. Let’s hear it for everyone who voted for this fooI. Thanks, guys! He has attacked states, called Americans “enemy” and betrayed his political opponents to the UN. He has vacationed an unprecedented number of days and played golf on those days he was not vacationing. He has spent us into oblivion. His hacks and goons initiate smear campaigns against those with opposing viewpoints because he is afraid to debate the issues. They want to shut down conservative speech. His friends are racists, anti-Americans, and
criminals. His wife is ashamed of her country. He lectures the American people as if they are little children that he has to correct.
1. You who voted for Obama because you disagree with Bush’s Middle East policy: nicely done!
The Middle East, never a completely stable region, is in turmoil now after Obama instigated riots and failed to support pro-democracy groups. Now, regimes which were friendly towards the US have been toppled, extremists have filled the void. Women who will now be subjugated under S h a r I a h law are beholden to you.  He has violated the War Powers Act by not withdrawing all troops from
Libya before the 60-day deadline, an impeachable offense. Also, Obama has ensured that we will remain dependent on Middle-East oil.
2. If you thought Bush was crooked, so you voted for Obama: Congratulations on your inferior
deductive capabilities!
You have helped usher in the filthiest, most crooked administration ever. They supplied guns to Mexican criminals, resulting in many, many deaths. They sue states for upholding the law while
failing to enforce the law themselves, and they allow NBP to disenfranchise voters. Hope you are happy with your choice. The rest of us are NOT.
3. Union members who supported him: you merit an honorable mention!
Yes, he is all for making sure you have sweetheart deals as recompense
for your unflagging support of his campaign, but what happens when he runs out
of other peoples’ money? The most expensive workers, and you know who you are, will be the first to go in favor of cheaper non-union labor. You will have negotiated yourselves out of your jobs.
Congrats!
4. Minorities who  voted for him based solely on his skin color: way to go! Your unemployment rate has increased more than that of other groups. Perhaps you would have been better off to heed Martin Luther King’s words about judging a man by the content of his character and not the color of his skin. There was plenty of information available that showed he has no character or integrity.
5. You in the healthcare and medical insurance industries who voted for him: pat yourselves
on the back!
Many of you will be forced to either accept terms that assure you will not see a profit, or you will have
to retire or find a new line of work. ObamaCare calls for dumping millions more into the system, including illegal aliens who will receive subsidies at the expense of hard working taxpayers. You will be frustrated when needed treatments for your patients are denied by government bureaucrats. Not only that, but the politics behind this monstrously bad bill were beyond dirty.  Thanks a heII of a lot for bringing this curse upon all of us.
6. Jews who voted for him: take a bow!
You managed to help elect the most pro-Muslim, anti-Israel, terrorist-friendly president ever. What the heII were you thinking?
7. Catholics who voted for Obama: standing ovation for you!
His voting record on abortion is 100% for terminating any pregnancy, at any stage, including AFTER a baby is out of the womb and birth canal. Your seconds in the voting booth are truly a Whiskey Tango Foxtrot moment.
8. Whytes who voted for him by reason of whyte guilt: you now have a REAL reason to feel guilty.
Well done!
9. College students
who voted for Obama because it was the “cool” thing to do: how cool is it to
put our nation trillions of dollars into debt, ruining the economy and along
with it any hope you had for achieving a decent standard of living? “Yes we can” and “hope and change” are simply slogans, and NOT plans for running a country. You have no one but yourselves
to blame for your current predicament.  And the rest of us do not appreciate your significant contribution to saddling us all with the community organizer.
10. Women who voted for him: you got what you asked for.
In BO’s administration, women are paid less than men, and women have suffered higher unemployment because of his policies.
Now all of you have made your own little contribution to our continually declining economy. It would be karma if all of you who voted for him lost your jobs, while those who saw through the lies and didn't vote
for him kept theirs.

Who's fault is it again?

REMEMBER JANUARY 3, 2007

Some people have short memories…..

DO YOU REMEMBER JANUARY 3, 2007?

Remember that on October 9, 2007, 11 months before our “economic crisis” occurred (that was actually created), the Dow hit its highest point ever, closing at 14,164.53 and reaching 14,198.10 intra-day level 2 days later. Unemployment was steady at 4.7%. But things were already being put in place to create the havoc we’ve all been experiencing since then. And it all started, as this email explains, on January 3, 2007.

I'm sending this to each of you regardless of your party preferences because I believe it is something you may not have considered.

This tells the story, why Bush was so “bad” at the end of his term.

Don't just skim over this, it's not very long, read it slowly and let it sink in. If in doubt, check it out!!!

The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, which was the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.

The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.

At the time:

The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77

The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%

The Unemployment rate was 4.6%

George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH

Remember the day...

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee. The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA. And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress.

So when someone tries to blame Bush. REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007....

THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!"

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 & 2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.

There is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it on!

How is this hope and change working out for you? THERE'S AN ELECTION COMING UP...I HOPE YOU REMEMBER THIS LIST WHEN YOU VOTE!

My Apology to My Friends

I have noticed over the last few days that I am coming closer and closer to alienating my friends due to my passion for politics. First and foremost anyone that I have genuinely offended, I'm not talking about butthurt people who just don't agree with me, I am truly sorry.  I try my best to not be nasty. But something that people need to understand is that until Jesus comes back to get us, I have to be aware of what's going on around me in order to protect and provide for my children.  Sitting around and just letting things happen is going to allow our country to crumble around us. I don't 100% blame Obama for what has happened recently. It's not all his fault and it's not a blame that one single person should have to bear. But I do blame his party. Do some research. I'm not going to do it for you. We have been on a downward spiral for the last five years. Which yes, falls under the last two years of the Bush administration.

Either way you look at this, I have not been nasty or ugly about anything that I have posted on Facebook or anywhere else. I hate to lose friends over something like politics. However, if you are going to end a friendship because we fundamentally disagree on certain things, you were never my friend to begin with and I wish you the best in all your endeavors. We may not agree on this. We probably never will. But the one thing that I want my friends who have actually taken the time to read this to take away is that like it or not, we are in a bad sort of way right now and things are not getting better. I'm not necessarily trying to turn people into conservatives, I'm not necessarily trying to turn you Republican. I am merely trying to show some people that we can get back on track. We can come back together and restore that work ethic and spirit that we had.

The Spirit of America has Gone Dim

As I write this it is five days post Obama's reelection.  The conservatives are still reeling over this enormous defeat. This is what the election this year has proven to me.

First and foremost if anyone kept up with the results you will see that it was extremely close. Which only proved one thing to me. That we are divided right down the middle. We literally cannot come together as a nation anymore. We have proven that we hate each other and are more focused on race, entitlements, the so called war on women, and pretty much everything else that ultimately has NO significant impact on a real person's life. Please those of you who were jumping up and down over birth control and abortion, please tell me how throwing a fit over having to pay for your condoms and birth control was going to seriously impact your life. It hasn't thus far has it? I'm all for birth control. Even being pro-life I am perfectly fine with women taking birth control. I digress.

Those of you freaking out over potentially losing your welfare, are you working right now? Are you unemployed because you genuinely cannot find a job, or are you just sitting on your behind because you know that you can allow the government to take care of you and your offspring and not have to worry about a thing. Were you worried that Mitt Romney might have actually created some jobs and made you get up off your rear ends and work an actual job instead of eating your Little Debbie snack cakes in the hood watching Maury? Yes, I am picking on people, yes I have friends with this mentality. It saddens me. It makes me angry frankly. The reason it does is because I can remember when I was in nursing school I had to practically be dragged into Human Services to get a little help to better myself. But yet there are folks that will stroll up in that place with their smart phones in hand, nice clothes on their backs and quite possibly have as nice a car as I work my ass off for. Yes, it does matter what people do with their money when they're on welfare. If you can pay $100 a month for a phone $100 a month for cable then you can buy food for yourself. You can pay for your own housing and daycare. Again, I digress.

Now onto the subject of race. Are there really people out there that voted Obama yet again based on his race? Probably so. I honestly could not even try to guess the number. I am by far not a racist. I have black friends and black co-workers that I ADORE. I repeat I ADORE THEM! I have Hispanic friends that I love and respect as well. I was reading a transcript from the Rush Limbaugh show today and a Mexican called in and stated that he listened to the show and also was a Republican. His words opened my eyes very wide. He stated that the reason Hispanics typically vote Democrat is because they usually come from an oppressed country to begin with. Therefore they are looking to a government to support them. It makes perfect sense. They are so oppressed by their home governments that they look to a government that will shelter them, and that is what the Democrat party promises.

My whole point in this is, where did the sense of pride in a hard day's work go? Where did the sense of pride that you can self sufficiently take care of your family go? It's gone by the wayside in this country and honestly that frightens me. I am a single mother and while I don't own my own home, I work very hard for all the things that I do actually have. No one gave them to me except for the gifts I am given. That's not my point though. I went to school to make a better life for myself and my children and instill that work ethic in them that things are EARNED not given away for free. I can only hope and pray that people will wake up within the next two years and realize that that spirit can be re awoken. We are better than what we have been given for the last 6 years. It's time to take our country back and be proud again.
